I am not the biggest smoothie fan for some reason, some are just quite boring or just do not satisfy my taste buds. If you are a fan of them, try the Probiotic Orange Smoothie, so good. Once in a while I still feel the need for a nice green smoothie. Why are green foods so healthy? Mosty green foods like broccoli, spinach or kale are low in calories but have a lof vitamins and antioxidants and phytonutrients.
Phytonutrients have great healing power, especially on your gut where most of your immune system is located. The smoothie also uses avocado which is high in potassium, good for lowering your blood pressure which is linked to heart problems, strokes and kidney failure. Further lost of healthy fats like oleic acid linked to reducing inflammation and for cancer prevention. The hemp seeds or hemp protein powder contains a lot of vitamin A, C and E as well as an ideal ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids.
